CCAA’s Demo Artist, October 23: Christine Crozier

Join the Central Coast Art Association Mon., Oct. 23, as we welcome Christine Crozier.

“My art is for people who want to see themselves in the work, and let the artwork take them to a time and place where they are happy, maybe younger and more carefree,” states Christine.

You can feel Christine’s infectious enthusiasm in her expressive oil paintings.  That enthusiasm is stated with loose, spontaneous brushwork and rich colors.  When she paints she looks for the extraordinary in the seemingly mundane.  Her art invites us to look at the everyday occurrences in our own lives with fresh eyes.

Christine’s 35 years experience in the arts ranges from painting murals in some of America’s most beautiful homes to painting fine art oils in her own Monterey Peninsula neighborhood, and as far afield as Europe and the Fiji Islands.  She is a respected teacher who believes artists have a mission to foster the continual growth of the arts and an appreciation of beauty. Collectors in North America, Europe and the South Pacific have sought Christine’s artwork.  She has illustrated four books of poetry by Patrick Flanigan.  Her home and artwork have been showcased in the book, Artists’ Interiors by Laurie E. Dickson.

The Central Coast Art Association meets 6:30-8 pm at the Monterey Youth Center, 777 Pearl St (next to Dennis the Menace Park), Monterey, the fourth Monday of each month (please check for holiday schedules). Attendance is free and open to the public.
