Lisa Couper

I was born and raised in Watsonville, a rural town on Monterey Bay in California.  My studies included fine art photography and art history.   I hold a Master’s degree in art history.  My work experience includes teaching art history and veterinary technology courses at Hartnell College in Salinas, California.  I was a registered Veterinary Technician for ten years.  Along the way, I owned and operated a hydrangea nursery and was a horseback trail guide in Point Reyes National Park.

My paintings are about my love for nature, color and light.  I paint plein air as well as in the studio.
